Tie & Blazer Ceremony – School of Logic

On Friday, August 23rd, during the 8:30 AM Chapel service, Canterbury will hold its first Tie and Blazer Ceremony. During this ceremony, our students will symbolically transition by exchanging their red sweaters and bow-ties for neckties and blazers. This represents the shift between grammar school (grammar stage) to the logic school of the trivium model of classical Christian education.

If you are able, we warmly invite you to attend and participate in the ceremony. Parents are welcome to help dress their students in front of the school during this special moment and take photos.

Attached, you will find the updated uniform guidelines for 6th-grade young men and women. Please note that young women may now also wear skirts instead of only jumpers. While students may continue to wear their red sweaters on campus, they are required to wear their blazers during Chapel events and for school photos. Young men may wear shorts during the first and final academic quarters.

We look forward to celebrating this occasion with you and your student.
