Kindergarten Graduation (2023-2024)

Celebrating Our Canterbury Kindergarten Graduation, Wednesday May 29th at 10 am

As the academic year draws to a close, we will gather to celebrate a significant milestone for our young learners—the Canterbury Kindergarten Graduation. This event is a chance to honor our graduates and end their school year with a positive experience toward school and learning. It also provides an opportunity to showcase to family and friends just how much our students have learned this year.

Join us in the Chapel at 101 N El Monte Ave, Los Altos, CA 94022.

Student Performances One of the most delightful parts of the ceremony is always our student performances, which demonstrate the culmination of Canterbury’s active five-year-old kindergarten program. Our little graduates showcase their talents in Bible studies, phonics, reading, numbers, social studies, poetry, music, and drama. Each performance is a testament to their hard work and the dedicated guidance of their teachers. Family and friends will be treated to a medley of songs, dances, and recitations that the children have studied throughout the year.

Presentation of Diplomas One by one, each child will be called to the center of the chapel to receive their kindergarten diploma. Kindergarteners have had so much fun while learning the basics—reading, writing, numbers, and more! Under the care of loving teachers, these little ones are laying the steppingstones for a solid foundation which propels each one to fulfill God’s plan for their lives.

Reflections and Future Aspirations

This graduation is not just an end, but a beginning of their classical education at Canterbury. Our graduates are now ready to embark on the next phase of their educational journey, armed with the knowledge and skills they have acquired during their time in kindergarten. Kindergarteners move from “play dough to Plato” and from “letters to Latin” exploring the wonders of science, the joy of music, and the magic of storytelling, all while building friendships that will last a lifetime.
