Join us in the chapel for an enchanting performance of Donizetti’s ‘The Elixir of Love’! Our talented 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students will share the stage with professional artists from the San Francisco Opera. You won’t want to miss it!
About Opera Together:
This fall students come together with professional artists to perform a 50-minute reduction of Donizetti’s classic comedic opera, The Elixir of Love. Masterfully designed for young audiences, the English language production features professional singers and a pianist alongside our students in speaking and acting roles, and a chorus.
Students memorize lines, music, and staging in advance, are coached by artists in dress rehearsal adding props, costumes, and scenery, and perform for the school and community.
This program is made possible by East Bay, Marin, Sonoma, Peninsula Chapters of San Francisco Opera Guild, and by the San Jose Opera Guild.
