All Saints’ Day is celebrated on the first of November each year. It is a day set aside in the Christian Calendar to honor all of the saints of God – both known and unknown to their fellow Christians. Its roots extend all the way back to the All Martyrs celebrations which marked the fourth century A.D. following centuries of Roman persecutions.
At Canterbury we emphasize the holy joy and bright happiness associated with the ageless celebration of those redeemed by Christ’s Atonement – the Saints of God. The Canterbury All Saints’ Parade is scheduled to begin at 11:15 on Friday November 1, 2019.
Each grade selects a theme which will be announced as they enter the parade.
Parents and friends are encouraged to attend.
